Procedural Fluency

Are students able to build procedural fluency in the CPM curriculum?

• The problem-based lessons help students make sense of concepts first, then building on that understanding, students move to fluency through continued collaboration and practice.

• Students will reach procedural fluency over time and at a pace appropriate for each students level of understanding, with the support of the mixed, spaced practice (interleaving) that is implemented in all CPM textbooks.
